Guys, I was using a 2006 Toyota Corolla till date and got it changed with a 2009 Toyota Corolla. It has central lock system but no remote control. I love the ride in this even more than the Prado that I used between the vehicles got changed. Not too many months ago the 3 Memphis Toyota dealers had up to 30 in stock. I checked today, the largest dealer had none in stock, the other two showed one each in stock. When they first came out in April 2006, you had to pay full MSRP to get one. Last year you could get them for up to $1,500 off MSRP. I imagine we are back to full MSRP again. "I strongly suspect that consumer auto leases (at least those sponsored by the auto manufacturers) will be history by the end of the year. Chrysler has already announced that they will exit the lease business on August 1st. Cerberus Capital not only owns Chrysler and Chrysler Financial but controlling interest in GMAC as well. The radiator and a/c died on my 05 Corolla XRS at about 83kms. The radiator replacement was done in Apr. because it was cracked (That looked like a defective part according to an industrial quality control tech who saw the radiator.) Honda service/parts aren't too much different from Toyota these days. I get my oil changed at Wal-Mart, and am buying shocks from a Midas-style place soon. A new timing belt is due on my red one at 180k miles, and that won't be done at a dealer either - just a local mechanic shop with a good reputation. I understand totally...I was 21 once, myself! My idea of fun half a lifetime ago was driving down I-35 in my old Ford Maverick with both windows cranked down (you DO come to appreciate power windows when you get older...trust me) doing 80 and pretending I had a convertible!
