The dealer recommended the scheduled maintenance of not only replacement of the engine oil but also replacing the automatic transmission fluid, deferential oil, coolant, drive belts and transfer case oil. I own a 2006 SLT Sport CC Dakota 4.7 and tow a boat and other loads. I also own and tow with a 2006 Nissan Xterra 4.0. The Nissan pulls just as well, and gets avg 19 MPG towing while the Dakota drops to 15 MPG. I have a 2006 Frontier NISMO 4x4 with ABLS, Sunfroof, and roof rack, with tow package. I have a 19' travel trailer that weighs about 3500 pounds with the fresh water tank full. I needed a weekend type hauler so I bought a 2006 Frontier XE with 2800 miles on it. 4cyl with a 5spd manual. That was 3 weeks ago and I now have 4800 miles on it cause it took it on 2 road trips where I needed to haul some items. What a great truck. Solid. Quiet. Peppy.
