Frontier - 4th of July fireworks..
Vehicle
2006 Nissan Frontier LE 4dr King Cab SB (4.0L 6cyl 5A)
Review
Just bought it this last week and love it. It has a lot of get up and go. Very roomy for a King cab and feels very tough. It has all the features I wanted and it didn't break the bank. I compared the Toy and GMC and was not impressed with the option packs or the add on pricing for both of them.
Favorite Features
The look of a larger truck than it is.
Suggested Improvements
Improve the dash layout, hard to see with the steering wheel placement.
Frontier Crew Cab Nismo
Vehicle
2006 Nissan Frontier Nismo 4dr Crew Cab 4WD SB (4.0L 6cyl 5A)
Review
This is my second Frontier. I owned an 05 crew cab Nismo. It was without the Rockford and sunroof package with rack. I absolutely loved the truck...but longed for the extra options. So I traded for an 06. Since I sell Nissan...it only change my payment by 10 bucks!
Favorite Features
Rockford system and the overall, rugged looks of the truck...and of course performance!
Suggested Improvements
It would be nice if more Nismo options were available factory direct...and a little more upgrades to the interior!

The day I bought this truck, my family and I went camping. It was very cold up in the mountains, but the truck never stalled or anything like that. It always started right up. And even now, the only problem we've ever had with it was a flat tire. This truck also has great handling. On those twisty-turny roads in the Sierras, the truck handled so well, I never worried about what a steep drop it was. So, this truck has been a very reliable and fun to own vehicle.

2006 Nissan Frontier XE 4dr King Cab SB (2.5L 4cyl 5A)
Review
I was torn between a Toyota Tacoma and the Frontier, and with the Frontier I got the same features for about $1000 less. Having owned a Frontier in the early 90's, I'm happy to say the ride of the new Frontier is much smoother, very car-like, as opposed to the older truck whose ride was very stiff. Sit inside the XE and you will be surprised it is the lowest trim level. You ride high up like an SUV, and both interior and exterior are stylish. Only negative I'd mention is that the 4-cylinder engine has a whiny sound. However, it's got excellent acceleration, I was very surprised.
Favorite Features
Smooth ride, interior styling, bucket seats.
Suggested Improvements
4-cylinder engine is whiny.

Review
I should have gotten the power window and door locks otherwise it handles well at all speeds and even does off road fairly well. It's a mild suprise for $ vs. truck, then again it's a Nissan. I Haven't had it that long, but I expect to wring 150,000 to 200,000 out with proper maintenance and low dollars. John Christian
Favorite Features
The vehicle in general.
Suggested Improvements
Bring down the price of gas or Nissan may choose to mix an additive to fuel that won't hurt the engine overall.

2006 Nissan Frontier SE 4dr Crew Cab SB (4.0L 6cyl 5A)
Review
the engine puts out excellent power, i routinely carry about 600 pounds of equipment and i don't even notice it, gas mileage is decent, around 17 in the city and 20 on the highway(driving around 80 mph) between las vegas and visalia california. going up the mountains it drops out of overdrive but no big deal.
Favorite Features
plenty of power and torque
Suggested Improvements
put better/safer standard tires on, the ones i have are dangerous in any kind of wet weather

'06 NISMO lover
Vehicle
2006 Nissan Frontier Nismo 4dr Crew Cab 4WD SB (4.0L 6cyl 5A)
Review
I have had my NISMO CC for 2.5 months, and now have 10,000+ miles on the odometer. I do not go off roading but my job does require me to make regular use of the NISMO's ground clearance as well as occasional use of the 4x4. This truck has performed flawlessly. To be blunt, I love this truck! People complain about the fuel mileage. I find it fair for a vehicle of it's weight and performance specs. My job entails highway and city driving and I average 15 to 16 MPG. Recently I took the NISMO on a 1600 mile round trip. Going out(VERY windy) I averaged only 18 MPG at 70 MPH+. The return trip with better weather and slightly higher speeds returned 20.2 MPG. This truck rates a 9.5 on a scale of 10!!
Favorite Features
Outside appearance. Ground clearance. Frame strength. Utilitrac bed. Bed liner. All of the NISMO features. AND THE ENGINE!!!! Additionally, I basically live in my truck due to my job and I find it to be a very comfortable vehicle.
Suggested Improvements
Redesign the mudflaps. As many have complained, I too am already worried about the stone chips on my rear fenders.

Great Mid-Size Truck
Vehicle
2006 Nissan Frontier LE 4dr Crew Cab 4WD SB (4.0L 6cyl 5A)
Review
Great truck to drive. I've had to take 2 trips back east and it performed great. 20 mpg on first trip and 21 on the second. Loaded with furniture on second trip. mpg has improved over time, now have 5500 miles on it. Tows great. Has room for 4 adults. I like the ride better then my wife's cadillac (2000 deville).
Favorite Features
4WD, trip computer, utili-track system, ride and seat comfort, backseat leg room, 17" wheels, storage and cup holders.
Suggested Improvements
better gas mileage, design utili-track so that toolbox can be removed easier, separate control for trip milage and mpg indicator, tape player on standard radio.

Great Functional Truck
Vehicle
2006 Nissan Frontier XE 4dr King Cab SB (2.5L 4cyl 5M)
Review
Great mileage for mid-size truck, got 25mpg in mixed driving on the first tankful. Ride is quiet and smooth and has plenty of space all around. Not fancy but has all the basic features available as options.
Favorite Features
Gas mileage.
Suggested Improvements
Turning circle is a bit large so parking is a chore. Too bad all the "compact" trucks have moved up in size to mid-size. Tailgate is quite heavy too. Spray on bedliner with adjustable tiedowns not available on XE.
