Lately on my 04 frontier I have been getting a squeeking of the frame on the drivers side. I jacked it up several times and though the squeeking was coming from the bolt that holds the bottom of the shock in place. I greased it and it got quiet but now is worse. Not sure that was actually the problem. It is loud enough I can feel the vibration in my feet when driving. Anyone ... Read More...

Sayan, I'm having similar issues with my 2004 Frontier Crew Cab SC...it's very inconsistent in occurrence but is unfortunately getting worse. Sometimes when cornering the transmission will slip and once it catches the gear will slam on the drivetrain :confuse: . Just bought it...has only 32000 miles :mad: . I researched this purchase until I wore myself out and not to mention a few sales reps. Tacoma vs. Frontier - and to some degree the Dakota and the Chevy mid-size. I couldn't agree more Rocketman. I test drove both trucks back to back more than once and found that the Nissan not only suited me more, but that I preferred practically everything about it. I had a 2004 Toyota Tacoma TRD 4x4 - 6cyl. I now have a 2005 Frontier 4x4 6Cyl. If I had not rolled my Tacoma, I'd still have it. It got nearly identical mileage as compared to my Frontier. Toykick, First let me say that I think the Tacoma is a very nice truck and I considered one when I bought my Frontier. That being said I take issue with you on the quality being much less in the Frontier than in the Tacoma.
