2006 Jeep Wrangler Sport 2dr SUV 4WD (4.0L 6cyl 6M)

Review

Purchased the RHD Sport Postal Jeep with high hopes for a quality ride that could take the abuse I can dish out on a daily basis (all you mail folks know what I mean). Anyway, the engine was making noise from the day I picked it up. It sounded like the valves, but just couldn't imagine how a new Jeep could have that kind of problem, but that's what it was! Dealer had to replace valve lifters at 2300 miles. I also am noticing a loud thunking noise and it feels like it is right under my feet. I hope this isn't an indication of how this vehicle is going to hold up. Maybe I should have bought the extended warranty.

Favorite Features

Lots of fun to drive, with good acceleration.

Suggested Improvements

Better speakers, better mileage, better mechanics, longer warranty.

2006 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited 2dr SUV 4WD (4.0L 6cyl 6M)

Review

I traded a 2500HD to get my Dream Jeep. After a week of driving, it was more than I had hoped. The six speed is a good box. It has a tight gate, but easy to get accustomed to. The ride is a lot better than in the "shorty" Wrangler. The Jeep tradition lives on.

Favorite Features

Dual top group is a no brainier. The 25H interior package makes the Unlimited a choice pick with the premium two tone seats and silver bezel. The addition of the temp/compass rear view mirror is nice. The Unlimited is tight in the shoulder room, but still comfortable. I am 6'6" and have no problems.

Suggested Improvements

Better fuel economy. No other complaints.

Review

I have had my Jeep Wrangler for about 2 weeks now and it is so much fun! I have the X model with the soft top. I live in California so it is nice to have the top down when it's hot. There is lots of room for it being such a small car. I can fit both of my 170 lb. dogs in the back seat. Everyone stops and says how much they like it.

Favorite Features

Chrome on the wheels and bumper.

Suggested Improvements

Gas mileage.

Review

The Jeep Unlimited is a much smoother & quieter ride than the old Wrangler. Dual top is great for year round driving.

Favorite Features

Dual top. Soft top for fun in the sun. Hard top for winter months.

Suggested Improvements

Fuel economy. Better than my old TrailBlazer. But could use some improvement with the price of gas these days.
