STS interest

OK, so I see that GM offers everyone the partner Pricing (which I already had) but now have a $6000 or so dealer cash added to the price. I drive by seeing a white STS with a $46K+ sticker with a red tag sale of $37K+. I'm suddenly interested. Let me first say how dissapointing it is that the CTS is not big enough for an adult to sit comfortably in the back. I have to pull my knees up and tilt my head to sit in it at all in the back. The STS to my amazement, as big as it looks, is only marginally better. I know why GM and others are hurting. Anyway, back to the story. I was interested but when I asked about trades, I was informed that since they discount the car so much it would be a wholesale to wholesale price difference. I understand if I'm dickering against a car that is not getting rebates that high book to high book or low book to low book is maybe a decent deal. But I told him the price on the window is no longer a wholesale price, it's THE price you want for the car regardless if I trade or not. I'm not willing to let them make $6000 on my trade when they are willing to give the new Cadillac away at cost. I've tried to deal here before but never have gotten a better deal. I thought since they were hungry they might be better. I'm guessing they can all starve for all I care. I've always been able to get a better deal on my clean trades. Fortunate for me I have a long list of cars I like and even though they are in different price ranges, I simply look for something I like that is a good deal. Whay can't GM make a domestic car that has the room of a Pontiac G8? (Don't tell me about the DTS_my wife says we are not old enough to drive one of those yet)

Hi gator5000e. If I was going to lease a new entry luxury vehicle right now, it definitely would not be a Cadillac CTS. General Motors has cut way back on its lease support over the past several months. It really no longer makes sense to lease a GM product. A number of other brands, including BMW, Mercedes, Infiniti, Lexus, and others have much more attractive lease programs on similarly priced cars. Hi jwoodie. General Motors is currently providing $2,000 customer cash or 0% to 4.9% special financing on the 2008 Cadillac SRX. If you choose to lease this model, the cash incentive that is available on it drops to $950 and its lease rate is 6.0%. As far as what sort of selling price to shoot for goes, if I was personally in the market for a new SRX right now I would shoot for a couple hundred dollars over dealer invoice minus any available cash incentives. by burbank on Thu Aug 07 14:37:54 PDT 2008
I just came from my Cadillac dealer and got the following #'s and want to know what you guys think. I would like your opinion of the Cadillac Escalade lease deal I was just offered. Please let me know if this is a good deal please, or should I try to get it down a little. Any help is GREATLY appreciated. 2008 Escalade AWD with AWD Entertainment Collection- LOADED with DVD MSRP: 68420 Gross Cap Cost: 62191 Adjusted Cap Cost Reduction 58591 This is a SIGN AND DRIVE NOTHING OUT OF POCKET I am being offered a SIGN and DRIVE deal for 39 months at 12,000 miles/year lease with the dealer even paying the first month. The terms would leave me with 38 months left at $717 plus tax for a total of $760/month. I do not know the MF, but should I pull the trigger or is there more room to deal. Please let me know.
End of lease purchase incentive
by growe on Sat Aug 02 04:18:03 PDT 2008
I am nearing the end of my lease with GMAC of a 2007 Cadillac Escalade. Will they negotiate or provide incentives for me to purchase the vehicle since the residual is higher than market value?
