So happy
Vehicle
2005 Chevrolet Cobalt LT 4dr Sedan (2.2L 4cyl 4A)
Review
I bought my Cobalt for 2 reasons. It's mileage was 10x better then my Jeep, and secondly my boyfriend who happens to be 6'5 could actually drive it. It's great for long trips and does wonderful in Indiana's winter season.
Favorite Features
I love the heated leather seats and the spacious backseat for the carseats to fit in.
Suggested Improvements
Would have to say that the windows need to be slightly tinted if the car has leather seats, it will help the seats not to discolor.
This car has been fantastic!

I bought this car for my wife brand new and we currently have 37,000 miles on it. Other than having the key get stuck in the ignition (fixed under warranty) and replacing front brake pads, we haven't touched the car. It gets great gas mileage and looks good to boot. Could'nt ask for anything better.

Change out XM to Sirius.

2005 Chevrolet Cobalt LS 2dr Coupe (2.2L 4cyl 5M)
Review
This is my wife's car and she puts less then your average yearly mileage on the car. When she first bought the car it was a wonderful. In fact I actually found myself sneaking it time to time for little trips to the store. In terms of reliability. Well that's the sour point of this car. This is a list of the items that have been fixed since the car was new. Throttle body malfunctioned, Sunroof has broke and come off track twice, Every button in the interior has broke at least once. Have replaced the sunroof bezel 4 times. Electrical short in trunk that killed the electrical system. Final thoughts: Fun to drive, good gas mileage, horrible reliability. Will trade for a Honda Civic.
Favorite Features
Overall fun factor. It's like driving a go-cart. with out the reliability of a lawnmower engine.
Suggested Improvements
GM overall has made improvements on reliability for all of its line up, but they are still not even in the same league as Honda, Subaru, or Toyota.

Better than some say
Vehicle
2005 Chevrolet Cobalt SS 2dr Coupe (2.0L 4cyl S/C 5M)
Review
I bought a 2005 Chevy Cobalt SS supercharged and so far I think it is a good car. I have fun driving it. There is a lot of power up dates that you can buy for them, and it gets better gas mileage than my last car. More power than Cooper
Favorite Features
Supercharger, stereo system, air, interior, gas mlieage, power

More power. Anything can have more power
Major Issue - Stay Away From The Cobalt
Vehicle
2005 Chevrolet Cobalt LT 4dr Sedan (2.2L 4cyl 4A)
Review
Unfortunately, I recently found out that the Chevy Cobalt utilizes an electric power steering system as opposed to a hydraulic system found on all other cars. The electric steering system has a high failure rate and the average cost for repair is $2k. I am one of those unfortunate owners and will have to sell my car because of this issue. No recall notices by GM and I don't anticipate one. After avoiding American cars for 20 years, I made the mistake of re-entering the GM/Chevy market and I'm sorry I did so. Because of this, I plan on not ever purchasing another GM vehicle. Very sad.
Favorite Features
Suggested Improvements
Wind noise from windows; key becomes stuck in ignition; multiple radio failure; brake rotors and drums rusted in less that 1,000 miles.

Not without a warranty

2005 Chevrolet Cobalt SS 2dr Coupe (2.0L 4cyl S/C 5M)
Review
This car I ordered and waited 6 months for it, it didn't disappoint. The power the feel best bang for your buck. However it is built kind of like a home made rocket ship, amazing performance, questionable quality. Build quality should go negative for this car
Favorite Features
Supercharger, price, stage kits
Suggested Improvements
Get rid of the giant whale tail spoiler that makes it so you can't see out the back window. Upgrade the quality. And they wonder why GM is in trouble, this thing is as well build as a Lada. Only buy this car if it comes with a bumper to bumper warranty, you will need it

My new car
Vehicle
2005 Chevrolet Cobalt 4dr Sedan (2.2L 4cyl 5M)
Review
Bought this car because I read a lot of positive reviews on it. Then the test drive came and I loved it. I used to drive a 1995 Jeep Cherokee Laredo but I was a victim in a car crash and it was taken away from me. So safety was my key concern and let me tell you, I feel safe in this car!
Favorite Features
The windshield wipers are great! The driver seat height is cool also, you pump your chair up or down. Also that fast that you can see all the gas, coolant and oil specs with a push of a button.
Suggested Improvements
The back seats are kind of thin, I would make them a little more meaty for comfort.

Bought this car used <10000 miles, now have 54000, aside from tires and oil changes no repairs needed. Have had many people of other makes ride in it all compliment the ride. Great gas mileage, have gotten up to 37 highway on extended trips, mostly around 32 daily.

Different material for seating that dosen't show spots, and offer windows and locks standard like some other cars for the same price.

When I bought this car I've had no real common problems. But a lot of people have giving me a lot of compliments on the car. The gas mileage is great. I had 36.5 mpg before I accidently reset it.

I get 35-36 on the highway often more. I get 26-27 in the city/burbs. I think people need to get beyond the car the Cobalt replaces and enjoy this car. It is very cute and I get compliments from all ages. I know it isn't a luxury car but it is fun for non-hot rodders of all ages, that doesn't mean you are boring either. Put a fin on a car and it is a sports car
Favorite Features
Gas mileage and looks. Some colors look better than others. Very simple to learn.
Suggested Improvements
I get a bit of wind noise on the highway
