The A3 handles well enough on large-radius bends, but feels a bit heavy and sluggish in tight corners. Steering feel is OK in town, but feels a bit lighter than optimum in the twisties. Brakes are excellent.
The ride is generally comfortable, with the notable exception of freeway hop in the 2.0-liter version. Road noise can be excessive.
Small for a wagon, with tight rear seats and minimal cargo volume. The cockpit controls are generally good, with the HVAC the notable exception.
A well-proportioned wagon, that is well built.
